Signalling Type A1, A2, A3 & A4 |
Signalling type A cables are light-duty flame-retardant and either insulated or insulated and sheathed
in an LSZH compound. They have a Class 2 stranded tinned conductor. They are generally for internal use,
with the smooth sheath being suitable for free wiring installation in ducting including relay rooms, signal
boxes, REBs, and location cases. |
Signalling Type B1 & B2 |
The signalling type B cable range is a heavy-duty Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) insulated and heavy-duty
Polychloroprene (HDPCP) sheathed cable with Class 2 stranded tinned conductor. This cable protects against
mechanical impact, oils and greases, and other abrasions that are a normal part of railway usage. This signalling
cable is used between equipment boxes, signal boxes, relay rooms and location cases. |
Signalling Type C1, C2 & C3 |
Signalling type C cables are heavy-duty and suitable for tails. They have a Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)
Separator tape and a Class 5 flexible tinned conductor. The C3 type is for TPWS applications and has Drain Wire
and Aluminium Tape (Al) screening. |
Signalling Type D1 & D2 cable |
The type D signalling cable range has a Class 2 stranded tinned conductor, an LSZH sheath and a PET Separator tape.
Signalling type D are used for Type B1/B2 applications in tunnels and underground. With additional fire performance. |
Signalling Type E1, E2 & E3 Cable |
This type E cable is a Class 5 stranded tinned conductor with a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) sheath. The E3 type
has Drain Wire and Aluminium Tape (Al) screening. For Type C1/C2/C3 applications when used in tunnels and underground.
With additional fire performance. |
